About

My name is Nick Fiorello. I am happily married and my wife and I have two young sons. For 22 years I worked as a professionally trained auto mechanic and was fortunate enough to open a start up auto repair shop for a local company in Chatham, New Jersey. Once that business became established, the quality of my reputation grew as did my client base. Working in that company is  where I learned most of my business and people skills. Shortly after my sons were born, the demanding nature of running an auto repair shop began taking it’s toll on me. I realized I was not seeing my family enough and, after careful thought, I made the difficult decision to step down from my position of operations manager to pursue another career that would give me fulfillment and allow me more flexibility to be available for my family.

For as long as I can remember I have been doing handyman type work for my close friends and family. Most everything that I’ve learned is from my hands-on experience working next to my father. In 1984, he and my mother purchased a Victorian era house in Cranford and immediately took on the lengthy task of performing a full restoration of the house from top to bottom. My father, with the help of my mother, my brother and myself performed all of the work.  This is where I learned the craft that I am so passionate about today. My father taught me the fundamentals of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, drywall/plaster, masonry, finish work such as molding/trim and much, much more!

I started Fiorello Handyman Service to fill the need in the area for skilled labor specializing  in small jobs for which most other contractors and tradesmen have no time. I am detail oriented, thorough and want to help make your home beautiful and functional.

Please reach out to me describing your needs and I will be happy to provide you with an estimate.
